Research Follows Hilton Being Named No. 1 World’s Best Workplace by Great Place to Work® for a Second Time in Three Years

Hilton (NYSE: HLT) has released new UK research revealing a strong link between employee engagement, and customer satisfaction and loyalty. The research reinforces the case for investing in a people-first culture and the power of hospitality as an engine of opportunity for employment, career growth, and personal development.

The survey revealed that:

  • Nearly three out of four (74%) of UK consumers believe companies that care for employees deliver better products and services.
  • 72% are more likely to recommend companies known for treating employees well.
  • 60% say happy employees are the driving factor behind great customer experiences.

Released as Hilton celebrates being named the No.1 World’s Best Workplace by Great Place To Work, the findings underscore the importance of investing in employee engagement and the impact that can have on consumers’ experience as well as their brand preferences and loyalty. Earlier this year, Hilton was also named the No.1 Best Workplace in the UK and is committed to removing barriers to employment and participation to enable more people to access meaningful careers in hospitality.

Simon Vincent CBE, EVP & President, EMEA, Hilton: “Hospitality is the UK’s third largest employer and plays a fundamental role in the UK economy, providing people with dynamic careers and opportunities. At Hilton, our award-winning culture is underpinned by ongoing training, progression opportunities, flexible working, unique perks and access to holistic wellbeing programmes.

Team Members can also tap into Hilton’s mental wellbeing and Care for All hubs, which offer mental health, physical health, and caregiving resources tailored to different regions and languages.  Other benefits include Hilton’s Thrive Sabbatical and Thrive Reset programmes, which provide team members with paid time off and financial support to pursue personal passions.

In the UK, where Hilton is ranked as the No.1 Best Workplace, they partner with organisations including the Down’s Syndrome Association and Aurora Foxes to help support the 1.5m people with learning disabilities in the UK into employment. Hilton and its partners have already supported more than 140 workplace opportunities.
