Marriott International’s Autograph Collection has arrived in Phuket with the opening of Veranda Resort Phuket, marking the brand’s debut on the island and its third location in Thailand. The new resort is located in the secluded Cape Panwa peninsula.

Situated just 12 kilometers from Phuket Town and overlooking the Andaman Sea, Veranda Resort Phuket features 159 rooms, suites and pool villas. Many rooms offer private terraces with panoramic views of Ao Yon Bay.

“Phuket is one of the world’s most iconic and idyllic resort destinations, an island paradise that seamlessly fuses tropical beauty with authentic heritage,” said Brad Edman, market vice president, Thailand, Cambodia and Myanmar, Marriott International. “Following the opening of the two Autograph Collection Hotels in Bangkok, Thailand’s dynamic capital city, we are thrilled to introduce the brand’s original style and one-of-a-kind experiences to guests in Phuket.”

The resort’s design incorporates elements of Phuket’s Sino-Portuguese heritage, featuring pastel colors, organic forms and minimalist finishes. The resort offers multiple dining venues, including an all-day dining restaurant overlooking the Ao Yon Bay, along with a spa and a pool.

The resort also arranges excursions to Phuket Town for those looking to explore the island’s cultural and culinary heritage.

“I am delighted to introduce guests to Veranda Resort Phuket, Autograph Collection, which seamlessly blends tradition and modernity in a spectacular scenic setting,” said Rome Panitkuljukkrawal, general manager. “By immersing guests in Phuket’s natural beauty, while also helping them to escape the bustling west coast and uncover the cultural charm of Phuket Town, every guest can find their own way to explore this inspiring destination.”

Currently, Autograph Collection has more than 320 independent hotels located at nearly 50 countries.
