Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts, the luxury hotel brand, is adding to its portfolio and is preparing to open a hotel in the Bahamas. Located at a private island retreat in the Bahamas, the Bvlgari Resort & Mansions at Cave Cay is scheduled to welcome guests from 2029.

The resort will mark the brand’s entry into the Caribbean market, adding to its global portfolio of 13 hotels, which includes properties in Milan, London, Dubai, Tokyo and Rome. The Bahamas property also follows the announcement of previously announced projects in the Maldives, Miami Beach and Bodrum, which are slated to open between 2026 and 2027.

The Bvlgari Resort & Mansions at Cave Cay will feature 64 luxury suites and seafront villas, alongside 48 branded private mansions and estates available for purchase. Amenities will include a spa and wellness center, multi-sports enclave, kids’ club and the brand’s signature Il Ristorante – Niko Romito, helmed by the three-Michelin-starred chef. A marina will offer docking facilities for residents and visitors, as well as a shopping promenade and various fine dining experiences. Water sports and excursions to nearby secluded islands will also be part of the offering.

Cave Cay, a 220-acre private island in the Exumas, is known for its white sand beaches, clear waters and natural caves.

“The Exumas have been establishing themselves in recent years as the ultimate glamorous destinations in the Caribbean, attracting the most prestigious and sophisticated clients,” said Jean-Christophe Babin, CEO of Bvlgari.

The design of the resort will be led by Milan-based ACPV Architects Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel, the firm responsible for all Bvlgari properties worldwide.

“This partnership with Bvlgari brings together people who share a similar philosophy about building places — one founded in quality, sustainability and providing a superior experience at every level,” said Emile Haddad, chairman of the board for Cave Cay General Partner Ltd.

Servotel, a global hospitality and lifestyle real estate consultancy led by Omer Isvan, is serving as the project’s lead development advisor.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism for the Bahamas, I. Chester Cooper, called the project “a transformative investment” that reinforces the Exumas’ reputation as a premier global destination. “This project goes beyond luxury; it represents a significant step in our strategy to drive sustainable economic growth, create meaningful opportunities for Bahamians and establish The Islands of The Bahamas as a leader in high-end tourism.”
