Hyatt Hotels is doubling down on its all-inclusive expansion in the Dominican Republic with the announcement of Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana, set to open late this year. The adults-only resort will be the first Hyatt Vivid-branded property in the Dominican Republic.
Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana, developed in partnership with Anacaona de Inversiones, will be the second property under Hyatt Vivid. The brand was launched in 2024 to appeal to the next generation of all-inclusive travelers.
Designed for adults seeking a flexible and immersive vacation experience, the resort will feature a range of modern amenities, including four pools, swim-out rooms and a pool with its own wet bar. Guests will have access to a spa, indoor and outdoor gyms, pickleball and tennis courts and a juice and healthy snack bar.

“We are pleased to further strengthen the Hyatt Vivid Hotels & Resorts brand portfolio with Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana,” said Antonio Fungairino, head of development for Hyatt’s Inclusive Collection. “Hyatt’s continued brand expansion in the region, from the sought-after beach towns of Playa Esmeralda, Punta Cana, Cap Cana and beyond, reinforces the Dominican Republic’s status as a premier destination for high-end hospitality, while reinforcing Hyatt’s leadership in the all-inclusive segment.”
Dining options will include five specialty restaurants, casual eateries like a sports bar and a barefoot beach grill and trend-focused venues such as a speakeasy jazz club. The resort will also house a convention center with a capacity of 1,000 guests.
“The Dominican Republic continues to see strong demand from travelers seeking immersive, experience-driven vacations,” said a representative from Anacaona’s Investor Relations. “The addition of Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana not only will strengthen Hyatt’s all-inclusive portfolio offerings in the destination but also meets the evolving needs of both loyal guests and new travelers looking for a fresh, modern resort experience in one of the Caribbean’s most desirable locations.”
Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana is part of a larger push by Hyatt to expand its presence in the region. Alongside the recent opening of Dreams Cap Cana Resort & Spa, a joint venture with Grupo Piñero to add more than 20 Bahia Principe resorts, and the upcoming launches of Secrets Playa Esmeralda Resort & Spa and Dreams Playa Esmeralda Resort & Spa, Hyatt’s all-inclusive footprint in the Dominican Republic is expected to grow by approximately 30% this year.
This follows the recent openings of Secrets Tides Punta Cana in January 2024 and Hyatt Centric Santo Domingo in October 2024.
Based in Chicago, Hyatt Hotels’ portfolio includes more than 1,350 hotels and all-inclusive properties across 79 countries.
