Expansion plans and strategic growth

Limehome has signed an agreement to convert an unused building in the historic center of Burgos into a 50-room hotel. Located between the Cathedral and Plaza Mayor, the project marks a significant step in Limehome’s expansion into northern and central Spain.

The hotel will feature several rooms with views of the Cathedral, and the renovation process is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2028.

“We are excited about this project as it represents a key step in our expansion across Spain. With this new opening, we strengthen our commitment to decentralizing tourism and focusing on cities like Burgos that have historical and cultural value,” said Limehome’s expansion team

Commitment to sustainable development and urban revitalization

The project is part of Limehome’s broader strategy to revive unused urban buildings and transform them into functional hotel properties, thus reducing the impact on residential housing in city centers. The company’s focus on preserving the architectural integrity of the building while adapting it for hotel use aligns with their sustainability goals.

In addition to this project in Burgos, Limehome has already announced plans to expand further in the Castilla y León region and nearby areas as part of their ongoing national growth plan. The company’s portfolio continues to grow, with new openings planned in key Spanish cities.

Digital innovation and future growth

Founded in 2018, Limehome manages over 10,300 apartments and hotel rooms across 153 European cities, with more than 650 units already operational in Spain. In 2024, the company also signed agreements for over 600 new units, highlighting Madrid and Valencia as key markets.

Limehome’s business model focuses on digitalized accommodation solutions, providing guests with a seamless and modern hotel experience. The brand’s continued growth, alongside a commitment to sustainable and efficient urban development, underpins its position as a leader in the hybrid hotel sector.

As Limehome expands its footprint in Spain and other European markets, the company remains dedicated to offering unique, high-quality stays while contributing to local economies and communities.
