VivaTech 2025: When technology boosts the Paris Region hotel activity

Like many other events this year, including Roland Garros and the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the VivaTech trade fair saw record attendance. The tech fair welcomed 180,000 visitors, 15,000 more than last year.

While the show is an opportunity to showcase French know-how, it is also a major platform for many international companies. This 9th edition welcomed exhibitors from more than 120 countries and some fifty national pavilions, an increase of 20% on 2024.

Paris Intramuros: all the signs are green

It’s important to point out that the dates of the show differ greatly between 2024 and this year. VivaTech was held from 11 to 14 June this year, compared with 22 to 25 May last year. This timing difference explains the performance of the Paris hotel industry over these few days.

Paris Intramuros hotels saw their occupancy rate rise by 13.9 points to 89.3%. The average daily rate also rose sharply during the show (+10.7%), reaching €282.4.

The increased presence of international visitors and exhibitors underpinned this rise in prices. Foreign visitors are more likely to pay more for this type of trip, unlike domestic visitors, who are more sensitive to price changes.

Unsurprisingly, RevPAR in the Paris hotel sector jumped by 31.1% at this 9th edition of VivaTech.
