The Netherlands follows Ireland, Germany and Austria

Online travel agent (OTA) Loveholidays has launched in the Netherlands under its weloveholidays brand following comprehensive in-market product testing and refinement.

Dutch holidaymakers can now access the billions of package holiday combinations the OTA offers, with over 40,000 hotels and flights from all major airlines operating in the country available to book through its platform.

The Netherlands is the company’s fifth international market, following successful entries into Ireland, Germany and Austria in 2016, 2023 and 2024 respectively.

Loveholidays is the UK’s third-largest Air Travel Organisers’ Licence (ATOL) holder and has grown to become the market leader in Ireland, taking the equivalent of 12% of the Irish population on holiday in 2024.

It trades as weloveholidays in Germany and Austria, where it has reached profitability and is seeing continued growth.

Charlotte Gogstad, Vice President of International Expansion at loveholidays, said: “Our launch in the Netherlands is a major milestone in our international expansion plans, as we continue to go after our ambition of becoming Europe’s number one package holiday provider.

“The success we’ve seen in our existing international markets demonstrates how much our customers love our holiday proposition. We’re really excited to bring that same experience to the Netherlands and help Dutch travellers to get away on their well-deserved holidays.”

The company launches in the Netherlands as a member of both the Dutch Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators (ANVR) and the Dutch Calamity Fund.

It offers a range of flexible payment options for Dutch consumers, including low deposits and the option to pay through local provider iDeal.
