The acquisition adds nearly 1,000 accommodation units and 1,600 pitches to ECG’s portfolio, which now spans 13 countries across Europe and includes over 450 destinations.
Founded in 1997 by Grupo Marjal, Alannia has grown rapidly, particularly following its partnership with Corpfin Capital in 2018. This partnership helped the company quadruple its revenues and solidify its position as a leading operator in Spain.
Alannia now operates five resorts, including new properties on the Costa Dorada. The brand is known for its modern outdoor hospitality offerings, providing an immersive experience that has earned recognition from national and European awards.
“The acquisition of Alannia strengthens ECG’s presence in Spain and underscores our real commitment to the Spanish market. We are eager to develop an attractive pipeline of new resorts in collaboration with the Alannia leadership team.”- Sébastien MANCEAU and Philippe de TRÉMIOLLES, CEO and CFO of ECG
“The Alannia leadership team is excited about this new chapter with ECG, with whom we share a common set of values. I am confident that this partnership will allow Alannia to continue its successful growth with the added experience and valuable resources of ECG.” – Fernando GARIJO, CEO of Alannia
The deal was supported by KPMG, acting as corporate finance, financial, legal, and tax advisor, with Garrigues serving as the legal advisor.

“Today’s announcement is a key step for Grupo Marjal and will support our ongoing growth in other business lines. Our future strategy will focus on leveraging our expertise in high-potential business niches, with the aim of growing and strengthening our organizational structure while continuing to drive innovation, job creation, and sustainable development for all our stakeholders.” – Javier FUR, co-founder of Grupo Marjal
This acquisition is a part of ECG’s strategy to expand its footprint in Southern Europe, particularly in Spain, where it sees strong growth potential in the outdoor hospitality sector.
Furthermore, European Camping Group (ECG) continues its expansion in the outdoor hospitality sector, with the group’s acquisition of Vacanceselect in February 2023, solidifying ECG’s leadership in the market. In addition, ECG has further expanded its portfolio by adding three new campsites, Domaine de Massereau, Yelloh! Village La Clairière, and La Tremblade, under its Marvilla Parks brand. These acquisitions enhance the group’s presence in France, with two more campsites added in 2025, further consolidating its footprint in the country. This expansion reflects ECG’s ongoing strategy to grow its portfolio and extend its influence in key European markets.
