Strategic partnership to develop the resort
Club Med has signed a partnership with REAM SGR, an Italian management company, for the development of a resort in San Sicario Alto, a resort located in the Piedmont region.
The future resort, which will be set in an exceptional natural environment, will have direct access to the Vialattea ski area. This resort is already well known to winter sports fans, with over 400 kilometres of pistes.
The resort will be bi-seasonal, offering both winter sports and summer mountain activities. This project aims to offer a top-of-the-range experience, tailored to families and travellers looking for both relaxation and adventure.
‘This bi-seasonal resort is designed to welcome travellers all year round and will become a flagship of our upmarket, family-friendly offering.’ Henri Giscard d’Estaing, Chairman of the Club Med Group
Significant local economic benefits
The construction of the resort in San Sicario will bring significant economic benefits to the region, particularly through job creation. More than 500 jobs are expected to be created, with positive spin-offs during the construction phase and in the long term thanks to the increase in visitor numbers.
This development is part of the group’s expansion strategy, aimed at strengthening its position in the Alps and completing its portfolio of mountain resorts.
A complete experience for travellers
The future Club Med in San Sicario will add to the group’s existing offer in the region. It will offer a wide range of activities, such as mountain sports and services tailored to the needs of families. In addition to outdoor activities, visitors will be able to enjoy a range of services, including a F&B esapce and areas dedicated to relaxation.
With this new project, Club Med continues to expand its presence in the Alps. The group is already present in 14 destinations in the Italian, Swiss and French Alps, and the San Sicario resort will mark a new stage in this growth dynamic.
The partnership with REAM SGR for the development of the San Sicario resort is a clear sign of Club Med’s commitment to strengthening its network of mountain resorts, while supporting local economies through thoughtful and sustainable expansion.
