Mobile ordering and guest experience platform provider for hospitality, IRIS, has today announced a new partnership with Travel Curious.
Under the new agreement, hotel operators that have the IRIS Digital Guest Directory will be able to offer curated local tour experiences through its integration with Travel Curious.
All the experiences will be bookable and payable online.
Currently it is accessible to all Marriott-branded hotels, with availability for other properties coming shortly.
Together the two will facilitate the curation of experiences and services hotel operators wish to include as part of their Guest Directory.
Guests can access the digital guest directory to book tours and experiences and tour booking links on pre-arrival guest communications in addition to QR codes displayed both in-room and throughout the hotel to drive awareness and guest engagement.
Hoteliers will also have the option to configure links to manage online credit card payments.
Graham Rushin, VP sales and marketing at IRIS, said: “Our core focus when building and developing the IRIS platform is to ensure we are enhancing the efficiency and experience on both sides of the app for guests and operators alike.
“The acceleration in demand for, and engagement with, mobile ordering and local guest experiences continues apace,” he said.
“Investing in and extending the capabilities of mobile ordering enables hoteliers not only to keep up with this demand but also, importantly, add additional revenue streams and increase profitability. We look forward to extending these opportunities to further operators worldwide in collaboration with the Travel Curious team.”
Alex Grant, co-founder and head of activate of Travel Curious, added: “We are excited to partner with IRIS. We are both dedicated to helping hotels enhance guest experience and increase revenues through experiences, F&B and other ancillary services.
“For a long time hotels were asking us if we could integrate with IRIS and as it happens, IRIS’ customers were asking them the same about us. So, our joint offering is an excellent step forward for those hotels looking to align their operations, marketing and experiences.
“Guests are increasingly looking for ways to enhance their stay, whether that be immersing themselves in the local area to experience the culture or adding additional extras such as early check-ins or spa treatments.
“Digital Guest Directories have always been an important resource for operators and guests, and by integrating with IRIS we are able to take it to the next level with a rich and diverse range of tours and experiences that will enhance the guest experience and support operations and revenue.
He added: “By aligning both of our offerings, it will simplify the marketing initiatives for the hotels that work with us. Fundamentally, it will be much better for the hotels and also better for the guest experiences.”
