Hilton is going big in Texas with the debut of its Signia brand there. The previously independent La Cantera Resort & Spa in San Antonio is set to become Signia by Hilton La Cantera Resort & Spa on October 1, 2025. Reservations are already open for future stays. The hotel is owned by Ohana Real Estate Investors and will be managed by Hilton.
“La Cantera Resort & Spa has been a beloved destination in the Texas Hill Country for more than 20 years, and we’re proud to lead its next chapter as a Signia by Hilton hotel,” said GM Ben Turner. “This partnership combines the resort’s rich heritage and upscale amenities with Signia’s signature hospitality, enhancing its reputation as a premier destination for sophisticated getaways and exceptional events in San Antonio.”
The resort recently completed an 11-month renovation project totaling $40 million. Its 496 guest rooms include 34 boutique-style villas and an adults-only floor, all decorated with details inspired by Texas’ King Ranch Estate.
Dining options at the property include nine different experiences. Among them are Signature Restaurant, recognized in the Michelin Guide Texas 2024, SweetFire Kitchen, Primero Cantina, a sports bar, and a grab-and-go market.
Wellness and recreation play a central role at the resort. The Loma de Vida Spa & Wellness offers holistic treatments and therapies and has received awards for its services. Golf is available at the La Cantera Golf Club, designed by Jay Morrish and Tom Weiskopf, which previously hosted PGA Tour events and is managed by Troon.
Guests will also find five pools, a kid’s camp, and nature trails. For meetings and events, the resort offers 115,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space. Facilities include a grand ballroom and the Calera venue, a 5,600-square-foot addition designed for weddings and gatherings that will open soon.
The Signia by Hilton brand emphasizes experiences tailored to modern travelers. Each property is designed to feature a lively atmosphere, restaurants and bars, wellness offerings, meeting facilities, and personalized service. The San Antonio resort joins other Signia locations in major destinations worldwide, including the recently opened Signia by Hilton Amman in Jordan and the upcoming Signia by Hilton Indianapolis, expected in 2026.
