Balfour Hospitality has confirmed the sale of its Hush Heath Inns portfolio, the five-pub joint venture it established with Stonegate Pub Company in 2017.
The pubs, including The Falcon Hotel in Painswick, The Woolpack in Tenterden, The Ship in Rye, The Swan in Forest Row and The Windmill in Hollingbourne, will now be fully owned and operated by Stonegate.
Balfour said the move allows it to concentrate on its wholly owned venues, including Balfour Winery in Kent, which is forecast to welcome more than 70,000 visitors in 2025 following a record year in 2024.
The company described its partnership with Stonegate as “invaluable” in developing the pubs and said it was confident the sites would continue to thrive under Stonegate’s stewardship.
Balfour Hospitality, which is run by Leslie Balfour-Lynn, operates a collection of boutique hotels, country inns and restaurants across London, the Cotswolds and Kent, all underpinned by a commitment to an “authentically English experience.”
