Eastwood Park, a Grade II listed country house hotel and events venue near Wotton-under-Edge in Gloucestershire, has been brought to market with a £6m freehold asking price.
The property includes 71 ensuite bedrooms, eight conference and meeting rooms with capacity for up to 150 delegates, and extensive private grounds used for outdoor activities such as archery and clay pigeon shooting.
The venue attracts a mix of leisure and corporate business, hosting weddings, meetings and conferences throughout the year.
Owner John Thatcher, who has managed the house and estate for over 30 years, is retiring, with Christie and Co handling the sale.
Thatcher said: “The time is right to hand over the reins of Eastwood Park to a new custodian. There is still significant development potential for both the hotel business and the property going forward, and we look forward to finding the right new owner to take it to the next level.”
Ed Bellfield, regional director for hotels at Christie and Co, said: “The sale of Eastwood Park presents a unique chance to acquire a prestigious property set within the scenic Gloucestershire countryside. There is scope for further development of the property, including additional leisure, accommodation or event facilities, subject to planning consent.
“This well-established venue offers significant potential for growth, with opportunities to expand its thriving wedding business, enhance corporate accommodation offerings, and tap into the rising demand for leisure stays during weekends and holiday periods.”
