Faraway Hotels will add two new properties in Sag Harbor, N.Y., and Jackson Hole, Wyo., opening in summer 2026. The brand, developed by Blue Flag Capital, Collared Martin Hospitality and Bain Capital Real Estate, focuses on conversions of existing properties through a design-forward, narrative-driven lens. Both hotels will be managed by Collared Martin Hospitality.
“In looking to grow the Faraway hotel brand, the move to Sag Harbor and Jackson Hole felt like the perfect fit. Each destination offers a unique story and spirit that aligns with our vision of thoughtful, immersive hospitality,” said Jason Brown, CEO and co-founder of Blue Flag Capital. “Faraway Sag Harbor is a natural next chapter in our coastal story, carrying forward the seaside charm, maritime heritage, and thoughtful design we’ve honed in Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard, now reimagined for a new harborside destination. With Jackson Hole, we’re entering a new chapter for Faraway. It marks our first move beyond coastal destinations, allowing us to immerse ourselves in a completely different sense of place – one shaped by a sense of adventure and a deep connection to nature – while continuing to offer the rich, layered experiences our guests have come to expect. Our mission remains clear: to be stewards of meaningful experiences in everything we do and bring back the soul to these incredible properties.”
In Sag Harbor, the Baron’s Cove will become Faraway Sag Harbor. The 67-room property will include outdoor areas such as gardens, patios and poolside space. It will also introduce a new restaurant, Zagara, influenced by Amalfi coastal dining.
“Inspiration at first sight is crucial for any property we consider. We seek a certain indescribable spark in each location. Sag Harbor and Jackson Hole are no different. We approach each Faraway property as an opportunity to create immersive experiences that engage the imagination. With Sag Harbor and Jackson Hole, we are shaping two very different worlds that share the same DNA: thoughtful design, layered storytelling, and spaces that encourage connection and discovery,” said Brad Guidi, CDO and co-founder of Blue Flag Capital. “Our philosophy transcends mere space creation; it’s about weaving an experience that is intrinsically interlaced with the local environment, ensuring each property is not just a place to stay but a destination that resonates with its setting. We often say, ‘the experience is the souvenir,’ and we mean it.”
Faraway Jackson Hole will take over the Snake River Lodge & Spa in Teton Village. Plans include a lobby lounge and a cocktail club called Surehand. The property will incorporate gathering areas and activities with views of the Tetons.
“Collared Martin is thrilled to partner with Blue Flag on this next chapter for Faraway Hotels,” said Steven Rubin, CEO of Collared Martin Hospitality. “Thanks to the creativity and dedication of our team, we bring the brand’s bold vision to life each day through thoughtful service, authentic experiences, and a sense of place that resonates with every guest. Together with Blue Flag and Bain Capital, we are creating destinations that inspire discovery and leave a lasting impression.”
“Faraway Hotels is exactly the kind of distinctive, experiential hospitality brand we believe is relevant to today’s consumer and positioned to thrive over the long term,” said Jared Melnik, managing director at Bain Capital Real Estate. “We are excited to partner with Blue Flag and Collared Martin to support Faraway Hotels as it expands into two extraordinary destinations, bringing fresh energy to iconic properties while staying deeply connected to each community it serves.”
The projects in Sag Harbor and Jackson Hole represent the next phase of Faraway Hotels’ expansion.
