Prince de Galles, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Paris, part of Marriott International’s The Luxury Collection, has appointed Philippe Clarinval as general manager.

With over twenty years of international experience in luxury hospitality, Clarinval has led several renowned Shangri-La properties in Southeast Asia and renowned properties in Switzerland, such as The Omnia in Zermatt and the Carlton Hotel in St. Moritz. He also headed the Grand Hotel Les Trois Rois in Basel, Switzerland, and served on the Board of Directors of Swiss Deluxe Hotels.

In addition, Clarinval currently serves as a teaching fellow for MBA students at the École Hôtelière de Lausanne and as a consultant for Oxford Leadership and Forbes Business Council.

“It is an honor to join the teams at Prince de Galles. I fully appreciate the responsibility and privilege of leading the legendary Parisian gem. Driven by sincere enthusiasm, I am committed to dedicating all my experience to its continued success and to those who bring it to life every day,” he said.

Initially opened in 1929, Prince de Galles features 116 rooms and 43 suites, the recently unveiled Lalique Suite, the restaurant and bar 19.20 by Norbert Tarayre, the Akira Back restaurant and the inner courtyard The Patio.
