JP Hospitality has launched a new international hotel brand, PAN AM HOTEL, at Expo Real in Munich, with inspiration coming from the iconic, defunct airline. The concept focuses on airport hotels and combines mid-century modern design with a 24/7 service approach, creating flexible usage opportunities beyond overnight stays. The launch marks JP Hospitality’s first role as an operator.
“With the launch of PAN AM HOTEL, we are setting a new benchmark in airport hospitality. Airports deserve better hotels – without inflated prices, but with comfort, quality, and innovation,” said Gebhard Schachermayer, CEO of PNMB brand GmbH and managing partner at JP Hospitality, a subsidiary of JP Immobilien.
“The steadily increasing demand for overnight stays at airports, combined with often poor service quality, motivated us to fill this market gap with the development of high-quality, needs-oriented hotels,” said Dietmar Ploberger, brand development director of PNMB Brand GmbH and managing director at JP Hospitality.
The brand addresses the evolving role of airports as business hubs and the growing number of overnight stays, which makes airport hotels a resilient and high-growth asset class. PAN AM HOTEL differentiates itself through brand, design, services, innovation, and gastronomy. The concept also offers opportunities for owners and developers of existing airport hotels, as rebranding can unlock new revenue potential.
The first PAN AM HOTELS are planned to open at European airports in 2028. JP Hospitality already has a pipeline of suitable airport assets and is negotiating locations at international gateways, demonstrating the scalability and growth potential of the concept.
The brand launch took place at Expo Real on October 7, 2025, including a breakfast at the 196+ Lounge organized by the PKF hospitality group. A panel discussion and press conference followed on October 8 at Hotel Bayerischer Hof. “I am delighted that we were able to provide a stage for this exciting new hotel brand at Expo Real,” said Michael Widmann, global CEO of the PKF hospitality group.
