Luxury Family Hotels is delighted to announce the reopening of Woolley Grange, its cherished Jacobean manor house near the picturesque city of Bath. Following a full renovation of its rooms, restaurants, and gardens, the hotel once again welcomes families to experience its signature warmth and character in beautifully refreshed surroundings.

The project has been led by the acclaimed design team at StudioJill, who have also worked across Fowey Hall on the Cornish Coast, Moonfleet Manor on Dorset’s Jurassic Coast, and New Park Manor in the New Forest. The design embraces a ‘new yet nostalgic’ approach, celebrating the property’s heritage while unveiling a fresh identity that feels both familiar and inspiring.

All 25 rooms and suites have been thoughtfully redesigned, alongside the hotel’s inviting public spaces including the Restaurant, Drawing Room, Long Room, Afternoon Tea Lounge, Private Dining Room, and The Orangery. Families can also enjoy the refreshed Spa with the addition of two brand new treatment rooms, outdoor hot tub and brand new sauna by the Indoor Swimming Pool. Younger guests can visit the much-loved Woolley Bears Den children’s club, while tweens and teens can make the most of the Hen House, complete with a pool table and games.

Throughout the manor, a palette of earthy tones, rich textures, crewelwork, aged oak, and rustic finishes celebrates the hotel’s history while introducing a new sense of harmony. Cosy corners, worn flagstones, and touches of country eccentricity remain at the heart of the Woolley Grange experience, complemented by playful details and handcrafted pieces that invite relaxation and discovery.

Beloved features such as vintage fairground rides and the hotel’s resident bear have been carefully restored and reimagined, standing proudly alongside new finds and family treasures. The result is a sensory experience that feels distinctly part of the Luxury Family Hotels collection; warm, welcoming, and full of stories to uncover.

Over the next few months, Woolley Grange will unveil exciting new elements of its refurbishment, including additional rooms in the Pavilion and Stone Cottage, as well as enhancements to the cherished Walled Garden.

Above all, Woolley Grange remains a place for families to return to time and again; a home-from-home where comfort, connection, and memory-making come naturally. With every space lovingly considered, this new chapter ushers in a bright future for a property that has long been part of so many family stories.
