Iroko Zen acquires Travelodge Bournemouth Seafront in the UK from Martin’s Properties
French institutional investor Iroko Zen SCPI has acquired the two-star, 110-room Travelodge Bournemouth Seafront in the UK from British real estate investment company Martin’s Properties for £11 million (£100,000 per room). The hotel includes a restaurant & bar and is situated in Bournemouth’s West Cliff, just a few minutes walk from Bournemouth Beach. The property is held freehold and is let to British owner-operator Travelodge, with an unexpired lease term of approximately 27 years. It underwent extensive refurbishment in November 2024.
Tulip Real Estate acquires DoubleTree By Hilton Swindon in the UK
British real estate investment company Tulip Real Estate has acquired the four-star, 171-room DoubleTree By Hilton Swindon in the UK. The property is situated at Junction 16 of the M4, a 40-minute drive east of Bristol in the south-west of England. The hotel includes a restaurant & bar, a Starbucks café and 15 meeting rooms. British operator Countrywide Hotels will now manage the hotel. In June 2025, Tulip acquired the four-star, 137-room Hilton London Syon Park for around £30 million.
Oberland and RealVantage acquire Heathcote Hotel in Manchester, UK
British real estate investment company Oberland, together with Singapore-based real estate crowdfunding platform RealVantage, has acquired the four-star, 61-room Heathcote Hotel in Manchester, UK. The property is situated in central Manchester near the Manchester Piccadilly train station. The hotel includes a restaurant, bar and meeting room. Oberland plans to rejuvenate the Grade II-listed property by restoring its historic features and adding modern touches throughout guest rooms and public areas. British operator C1 Capital Partners will manage the hotel.

Barons Eden acquires Orsett Hall in Essex, UK, from Barton-Wright family
British owner-operator Barons Eden has acquired the four-star, 57-room Orsett Hall Hotel in Essex, UK from the Barton-Wright family who had owned the property. The hotel is situated around an hour’s drive east of central London and includes a restaurant, café, 10 meeting rooms and a wellness facility. Barons Eden plans to invest into the hotel and reposition it further into a spa resort. This is the group’s second acquisition since British private equity firm Alchemy Partners took a stake in the company earlier this year, following the purchase of the Ardencote hotel and spa in Warwickshire in September.
Caledonian Leisure acquires Broadway Park Hotel in the UK from Coast & Country
British tour operator Caledonian Leisure has acquired the three-star, 106-room Broadway Park Hotel on the Isle of Wight, UK, from owner-operator Coast & Country Hotels. Dating from 1870 and opened as a hotel in the 1960’s, the property includes a restaurant, bar and ballroom and is situated in Sandown, a 10-minute walk from Sandown Beach. The property is to be rebranded as the Caledonian Island Hotel. This sale completes the disposal of the 33-hotel (2,664-room) Coast & Country Hotels portfolio, of which Caledonian has now acquired six properties.
