Elysian Real Estate Group announced bohème, a boutique hotel in East Austin, scheduled to open in summer 2026. The property will be located at 400 Comal St. and feature 20 rooms designed to reflect different aspects of the city’s culture and history.

“This concept is a love letter to Austin’s rich history of art, music, innovation and green spaces,” said Walker L. Molinare, founder and chief visionary officer of Elysian Real Estate Group. “Each guest room was designed with this in mind, providing an eclectic array of stays to choose from. We are thrilled to begin hosting guests next year.”

Originally a sustainable apartment building, bohème has been redeveloped in partnership with Baldridge Architects. The firm worked with Molinare to transform the concept into a fully realized experience, focusing on architectural detail and thoughtful design for each space. The rooms have been individually designed to reflect the character of East Austin and create a sense of place.

The hotel will include 14 standard rooms and six signature suites. Each signature suite has been designed with a unique concept. The Outlaw offers a moody environment with dark tones, textured finishes and subdued lighting. The Start-Up provides a modern design with technology-focused features suitable for work or relaxation. The Den is inspired by Austin’s music scene green rooms, with vintage textures and ambient lighting. From Dusk Till Dawn draws from Austin’s film heritage, incorporating bold colors and retro elements. The Pearl reflects the city’s bohemian culture with vibrant textures and creative design. The Muse combines neutral tones, rich materials and ambient lighting for a calm and understated environment.

In addition to the guestrooms, bohème will include a rooftop bar, a lobby bar and a first-floor grocer. Additional food and beverage offerings will be provided by Nova Hospitality, with details to be announced later.

The hotel’s design and programming are intended to connect visitors with Austin’s local culture and history while utilizing an existing building to create a boutique hospitality experience in the East Austin neighborhood.
