The deal broadens Expedia’s reach in museums, attractions and activity ticketing worldwide

Dec 11, 2025

Expedia Group will acquire Amsterdam-based Tiqets, a global ticketing platform for museums, attractions and experiences, to expand its tours and activities offering. The deal pairs Tiqets’ curated inventory with Expedia’s global scale and technology to create a more seamless, end-to-end booking experience for travelers and partners. Expedia says the integration will strengthen both its B2B and consumer brands by adding deeper cultural, historical and entertainment content to its portfolio.

Key takeaways

Strategic acquisition: Expedia Group has entered into an agreement to purchase Tiqets, an Amsterdam-based platform that provides global access to museums, attractions and activities, expanding its travel ecosystem beyond flights and lodging.

Enhanced travel experiences: The integration aims to allow travelers to book a wider range of cultural and leisure activities alongside traditional travel services, offering a more comprehensive and personalized booking process.

Global reach and scale: Tiqets’ international footprint, with offerings in more than 60 countries and over 1,000 cities, complements Expedia’s extensive network and technology, enabling broader access for users and partners.

Platform and API integration: The acquisition supports Expedia’s goal of strengthening its API capabilities, particularly in the activities segment, which can enhance its B2B offerings and partner integrations.
