World of Hyatt, the loyalty program of Hyatt, has announced an exclusive alliance with Under Canvas, the outdoor hospitality company, which will enable World of Hyatt members enjoying access to Under Canvas camps.

World of Hyatt members can book their stays at 13 Under Canvas outdoor resorts, including the group’s new property ULUM Moab, through Hyatt to start earning and redeeming points. ULUM Moab is the first resort under the ULUM brand launched by Under Canvas in 2023.

“Travelers are looking for new and unique experiences to reconnect with nature in off-the-beaten-path locations. By adding these luxury outdoor camps to World of Hyatt, we are bringing more memorable travel experiences for our guests and members,” said Mark Vondrasek, CCO, Hyatt.

Offering upscale accommodation options, Under Canvas and ULUM outdoor camps are located across the U.S., in locations such as Montana’s Yellowstone National Park, Tennessee’s Great Smoky Mountains, Acadia National Park in Maine and Yosemite National Park in California (slated to open in May 2025). These camps include safari-inspired tents and complimentary programming, such as nightly campfires, board games, yoga and children’s activities, along with F&B options.

  • Under Canvas Grand Canyon in Arizona.
  • Under Canvas Lake Powell-Grand Staircase at Horseshoe Bend.
  • Under Canvas Moab in Utah’s Canyon Country.
  • Under Canvas Zion near the Zion National Park in Utah.
  • ULUM Moab, which includes a full-service restaurant, hot and cold dipping pools, a yoga deck and lounge spaces.

Under Canvas’ five ‘Grand Circle’ camps in Utah and Arizona are the first DarkSky-certified resorts in the world, which showcases the brand’s commitment to minimizing light pollution and protecting the night sky. All the camps seek to minimize disturbance, maximize open spaces and blend with the natural topography of the land.

As part of its efforts to reduce water and energy consumption, Under Canvas’ tents have pull-chain showers, low-flow toilets, rechargeable battery pack chargers and low-level lighting.

World of Hyatt has been diversifying its accommodation offerings. Following the recent integration of the Mr & Mrs Smith portfolio, which comprised of over 700 global boutique and luxury hotels, into Hyatt’s loyalty program, Under Canvas camps are also now part of the Mr & Mrs Smith platform.

By the end of the year, more Mr & Mrs Smith hotels will be available to book on Hyatt channels.
