Looking to expand its footprint further into Europe and leverage the demand for the economy segment, H World International has acquired the full brand rights for Zleep Hotels.
The former joint venture with a Danish partner was simultaneously dissolved and operations in Denmark under the Zleep Hotels brand will discontinue by January 2025.
H World International is now focusing on growing Zleep Hotels across Central and Eastern Europe, with Zleep Hotel Frankfurt Airport Kelsterbach scheduled to open in Q1 2025.
“Over the past two years, we have established the Zleep Hotels brand in Europe by opening hotels in Madrid, Prague, Lausanne and Zurich. We are aiming to expand our economy lifestyle brand with further strategic partnerships. Our current pipeline for new Zleep Hotels is encouraging and underlines our commitment,” says Oliver Bonke, Chief Executive Officer of H World International.
Germany is a key market for Zleep Hotels. Besides the upcoming opening in Frankfurt-Kelsterbach, the brand will be opening in more locations, including Hamburg, Leipzig and Göppingen.
H World International has already signed framework agreements for 10 more Zleep properties and are in negotiations for additional agreements with other partners to add hotels across Central and Eastern Europe.
“Our Swiss project locations and the Zleep Hotels brand are an ideal match. We appreciate the good and trusting cooperation with the dynamic team of H World International,” says Rico Zindel, CEO of Säntis Home AG, which has signed a framework agreement with H World International for franchise hotels in Switzerland.
Zleep Hotel recently added a location in Zurich-Kloten, while two more properties are currently under development in Bern-West and Lucerne-Emmenbrücke.
Inspired by Danish design tradition, Zleep Hotels’ design showcases a blend of minimalist aesthetic with natural materials. The brand is suitable for both new-build buildings as well as conversion projects.
