Faroboats, the creators of the first fully sustainable solution for electric powerboating in the world, have taken the trophy in the Innovative Design Solution category at the IBI Boat Builders Awards 2024.
Eleven winners and three Honourable Mentions were named at spectacular dinner and awards ceremony in Amsterdam on November 21st.
This year’s 10th anniversary Boat Builder Awards saw Gulf Craft’s Mohammed Hussein AlShaali honoured for Lifetime Achievement, IMPACD Boats founder Marieke de Boer named as 2024 Rising Star, the Jakopin brothers commended as Designers of the Year, and boatbuilding companies and their supply chain partners from 15 countries celebrated for their striking achievements.
“Taking the top prize in our category at the Boat Builders Awards goes beyond our wildest expectations”, Nuno Frazão, CEO of Faroboats, stated. “Because it goes beyond our specific electric boat arena and extends to the entire leisure marine industry, with world-class manufacturers competing in our category, this was a glorious conquest for us”, he added.
The IBI Boatbuilder Awards uniquely recognise the significant contributions of individuals, teams and supply chain partners within boat building companies globally. The 2024 10th anniversary edition of the Boat Builder Awards has cast a spotlight on another year of remarkable industry advances across 11 categories spanning design, innovation, collaborative working, environmental responsibility, marketing and personal achievement.
“We would like to congratulate Azimut Yachts, B-Craft, and WiderCat, the finalists in our category, and to honestly tell them that we feel humbled by simply being in their company”, concluded the CEO of Faroboats.
