Ennismore, the lifestyle hospitality brand company within Accor, has signed a strategic partnership with Our Habitas and will take over management of Our Habitas’ 10 current sustainability-focused properties and drive further growth. As part of the partnership agreement, Our Habitas will be folded into Ennismore’s global collection of brands, which include SLS, Mondrian, 21C Museum and The Hoxton, and benefit from Accor’s global platforms.

Founded in 2016 by Oliver Ripley, Our Habitas aims to create human connection and empower local communities through unique hospitality experiences. At present, the company has 10 resorts across four continents, including Tulum, Mexico; AlUla, Saudi Arabia; Atacama, Chile; and the Kalahari Desert in Namibia. The brand currently has several projects in the pipeline, including multiple in Saudi Arabia, and with further expansion plans into Asia.

Ripley will continue in his role and lead the brand’s creative vision while contributing to its global expansion.

“We are excited to partner with Ennismore as we enter the next phase of our growth and our mission to continue to disrupt the hospitality industry,” Oliver Ripley, co-founder & CEO and Maurice Salem, chairman of Our Habitas said in a statement. “Ennismore’s entrepreneurial approach, global footprint, combined with their extensive operational expertise make them the ideal partner for Our Habitas to continue its trajectory as a global leader in experiential hospitality.”

With an aim to redefine modern luxury, each of Our Habitas’ properties is powered by its pillars — music, wellness, art, adventure, food, learning and giving back, while being connected to its natural environment.

The brand has attracted several global investors, including PIF, Starwood Capital and Barry Sternlicht, Maurice Salem and Travis Kalanick.

Our Habitas has created a niche in luxury hospitality, fitting in with Ennismore’s collective to match with its lifestyle and customized approach to hospitality, said Accor Chairman and CEO Sébastien Bazin. “We are also thrilled to join forces alongside seasoned investors who are important and long-standing partners for Accor and Ennismore, and eager to accelerate Our Habitas’ growth in the coming years.”

Ennismore was founded in 2011 by Sharan Pasricha. The London-based company entered into a joint venture with Accor in 2021. Ennismore has a collection of 17 brands, with more than 145 operating properties and over 100 in the pipeline. The company has three business units — lifestyle collective, resorts and luxury venues. Ennismore also has four in-house studios including Carte Blanched (F&B concepts), AIME Studios (interior and graphic design), a digital product and tech innovation lab and the Partnerships Studio.
