WYNDHAM WIDENS TURKEY FOOTPRINT: Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has opened Dolce by Wyndham Çeşme Alaçatı, its first Dolce hotel in Turkey. Located on the shores of the Aegean Sea and about 3 kilometers from the Alaçatı resort area, Dolce by Wyndham Çeşme Alaçatı features 155 rooms and suites with sea and garden views. The all-inclusive hotel includes a fitness center, spa, multiple restaurants and 500 square meters of event space which can accommodate up to 300 guests, besides a private beach and garden for weddings and other events. The Dolce hotel’s launch is joined by openings of La Quinta by Wyndham Çeşme and Wyndham Datça Perili Bay, which are a part of an expanded collaboration with owner and operator DRD Hotels. With these three new openings, Wyndham now has around 120 hotels and a pipeline of 25 more properties across Turkey.

FIRST HOSPITALITY EXPANDS PORTFOLIO TO GEORGIA: First Hospitality has assumed management and operations of the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Atlanta Airport and The Gem Museum Suites, an independent property in Evanston, Ill. The DoubleTree by Hilton is First Hospitality’s first property in Georgia and the first hotel with CrossHarbor Capital Partners. The 220-room hotel features an outdoor pool, an onsite restaurant and 4,700 square feet of meeting space. The addition of The Gem Museum Suites marks First Hospitality’s debut venture with owner Halim Time & Glass Museum. The property offers studio, one- and two-bedroom suites and is set to add a meeting, event or flexible workspace for extended-stay guests.

PREFERRED HOTELS ADDS TO LEGEND COLLECTION: Preferred Hotels & Resorts has added new member properties to its Legend Collection. The new additions include The Hotel Maria in Helsinki, Finland (opened in December 2023); Grand Velas Boutique Los Cabos in Los Cabos, Mexico (opened in December 2023); The Global Ambassador in Phoenix, (opened in December 2023); and The Newman in. London (to open in spring 2025). From palaces in India to coastal resorts in California, the Legend Collection has more than 100 member properties. With a total collection of over 600 properties across 80 countries, Preferred Hotels has four global collections — Legend, L.V.X., Lifestyle and Preferred Residences.

APPLE HOSPITALITY ACQUIRES EMBASSY SUITES MADISON: Apple Hospitality REIT, Inc. has increased its presence in the Madison market with the acquisition of the 262-room Embassy Suites by Hilton Madison Downtown for $79.5 million ($303,000 per key). The new-build hotel is located  close to the Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center and the Wisconsin State Capitol. Apple Hospitality announced its recent disposition of the 82-key SpringHill Suites by Marriott Greensboro in Greensboro, N.C., for $7.1 million. The company has another hotel under contract for purchase — a 260-key Motto by Hilton currently under development in downtown Nashville, Tenn., for an anticipated purchase price of $98.2 million. Apple Hospitality expects to acquire the hotel in late 2025. The addition of the Embassy Suites and the disposition of the SpringHill Suites brings Apple Hospitality’s portfolio to 224 hotels totaling 30,066 rooms across 37 states and the District of Columbia.
