Worldwide: Designer Christian Louboutin has acquired a stake in hospitality company Experimental Group, joining existing shareholders Jean Moueix and Brookfield Asset Management.
Through the personal investment, Louboutin “seeks to affirm his passion for travel, style and hospitality, which has always guided his professional and personal life”.
Alexis Dyèvre, who is associated with Louboutin in the furniture manufacturer Maison Gatti, is also taking a minority stake in Experimental Group.
The investment comes as Experimental plans openings in Val d’Isère, Rome and Paris next year.
Olivier Bon, co-founder and partner of Experimental Group, said: “Christian Louboutin’s entrepreneurial spirit matches the values of Experimental Group. His international reputation, multidisciplinary artistic collaborations, creativity and intuition will be invaluable assets in supporting our development.”
The Experimental Group now has 10 hotels, located in London, Paris, Ibiza, Biarritz, Verbier, Menorca, Venice and the Cotswolds.
The company made its US debut earlier in 2024 with the launch of wine bar La Compagnie des Vins Surnaturels Centre St in New York. The site joins three others in Paris and London.
In addition to hotels and wine bars, the group operates six Experimental Cocktail Club bars in Paris, London, the Cotswolds, Venice, Verbier and New York, as well as two beach clubs, Experimental Beach in Ibiza and Bijou Plage in Cannes.
