The second quarter of 2024 was action-packed for the GuestRevu team! We attended key industry events on two continents, all offering valuable opportunities to connect with new and existing partners, catch up with hoteliers, and gain invaluable insights into the evolving hospitality landscape. This roundup captures the highlights of our Q2 event experiences, showcasing the successes achieved, the relationships strengthened, and the exciting prospects that lie ahead.

GuestRevu on the Go-1

WTM Africa

The GuestRevu team kicked off their Q2 adventure at WTM Africa, the continent’s premier B2B exhibition for travel and a great opportunity to connect with hoteliers from across Africa. A reunion with long-time client Tsogo Sun and meetings with partners from HotelTime, ResRequest and Nightsbridge (to name but a few) highlighted the value of in-person interactions and GuestRevu’s commitment to fostering lasting partnerships. Amy also participated in a fascinating panel discussion on AI alongside other thought leaders in the African travel market.

Africa’s Travel Indaba

The GuestRevu team then journeyed to Africa’s Travel Indaba, a 3-day trade show in KwaZulu-Natal, where they had the chance to meet with local and international hospitality experts, destination marketing companies, and leisure tourism services partners. Amy and Natalie also caught up with some of GuestRevu’s amazing clients, and even did some in-person ad-hoc support!

Hotel Marketing Association (HMA) Awards

This year, GuestRevu was a proud sponsor of the Best Social Media Marketing Campaign category at the prestigious HMA Awards, and Paul Griffiths, Head of Sales at GuestRevu had the honour of presenting the award on stage. The event also provided a fantastic opportunity for the team to network with fellow industry leaders and celebrate the achievements of their peers.

TravelTech Show & Business Travel Show Europe

The day after the HMA Awards, the team took a trip across London to the co-located TravelTech Show and Business Travel Show, which turned into a long and busy day meeting up with loyal clients, chatting with top-class hoteliers and exploring everything the United Kingdom (and beyond) has to offer for business travel.
