KATHRIN JUNG-REINHARD TO LEAD DALATA IN EUROPE

Dalata Hotel Group has named Kathrin Jung-Reinhard as head of development strategy – Northern Europe. Jung-Reinhard joined Dalata in July and will be based in Frankfurt. The appointment underscores Dalata’s strategy to expand its portfolio into continental Europe.

Prior to her new role, Jung-Reinhard served as head of real estate portfolio management at Universal Investment GmbH. She has also held senior roles in CBRE Germany and Deka Immobilien GmbH.

“Kathrin’s appointment is an important milestone for Dalata and a testament to our strategic vision for expansion. Kathrin’s expertise in the European hotel market and her extensive relationships across Europe will be crucial as we seek to source more opportunities for our brands in key locations,” said Shane Casserly, corporate development director, Dalata Hotel Group.

HOTEL GRANADA ANNOUNCES LEADERSHIP TEAM

Hotel Granada, the upscale boutique hotel from Aparium Hotel Group, has announced a new executive team ahead of its grand opening in August. The newly added team members include:

  • Alfonce McKinney as general manager. Prior to his new position, McKinney served as general manager at the Darwin Hotel in Atlanta.
  • Violaine Diogene as director of sales and marketing. Bringing a diverse background to her new position, Diogene served as the director of sales and marketing for Hotel Colee in Atlanta in her most recent role.
  • Chay Steer as director of lifestyle. Steer brings almost 10 years of business management and brand development exercise in her new role. Most recently, she served as the director of business development for a luxury beauty retail storefront in Sandy Springs.

Langham Hospitality Group (LHG) has welcomed Jack Xiao as senior vice president – operations, China. Based in Shanghai, Xiao will be in charge of LHG’s mainland China portfolio of hotels and resorts and supervise the group’s functional teams for the market. He will report to LHG’s CEO Bob van den Oord.

With years of experience, Xiao has previously worked with Accor, Wanda Hotels & Resorts, Starwood Hotels & Resorts and Yongle Huazhu. He will be succeeding Lo Young, who retired after nearly seven years as the group’s regional vice president – China, Macau, Taiwan, and most recently as its senior vice president – operations, China.

Caribe Royale Orlando Resort has named Luciano Sperduto as its director of food and beverage to oversee culinary operations, banquets operations, menu development, elevated service standards and all dining experiences across the newly reimagined resort.

Sperduto, who has culinary track record in the Orlando market, will work with Executive Chef David Hackett to lead culinary innovations and programming across the resort’s four restaurants. For the past five years, he was the director of F&B for Walt Disney World Swan, Walt Disney World Dolphin and Walt Disney World Swan Reserve. 

NEW GMs

Haytham Said has been appointed as general manager of Four Seasons Hotel Miami. A 24-year veteran at Four Seasons, Said began his career as a trainee and rose up the ranks to become a general manager.

Prior to his new position, Said served as the hotel manager at Four Seasons Hotel at The Surf Club in South Florida.

Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego has welcomed Dena Roady as the area vice president and general manager of the hotel. She brings 28 years of leadership and hospitality experience with Hyatt into her new role. She will oversee all strategy, performance and goals for the hotel, as well as provide support to the Hyatt hotels in the San Diego area.

Roady joins from Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort and Spa, where she served as area vice president and general manager. Prior to that, she worked at Andaz 5th Avenue, Hyatt Regency Clearwater Resort and Spa and Hyatt Market Street. At the Hyatt Hotels corporate office, she served as corporate rooms manager, overseeing the launch of new properties and operational projects and began her career in operational roles at Grand Hyatt San Francisco, Hyatt Regency Newport and Grand Hyatt Kauai.

Pendry Hotels & Resorts has appointed Derek Lescrinier as the general manager of Pendry Natirar, which will open this fall.

Lescrinier joins Pendry Natirar from Montage International, where he served as the corporate director of rooms and was in charge of 15 properties across both the Montage and Pendry brands. Prior to Montage International, he spent more than 10 years at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach Resort in various roles.

Goldener Hirsch, Auberge Resort Collection, the Austrian-inspired mid-mountain hotel and residences in Deer Valley, has appointed James Miller as general manager. With more than three decades of experience in luxury hotels, Miller will oversee all operations, services, offerings and guest experiences.

He joins Golderner Hirsch from Kimpton Armory Hotel in Bozeman, Mont., where he served as the general manager. He began his career in Asia, where he started with Six Seasons Resorts & Spas and went on to manage operations at many InterContinental hotels overseas.

Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort, the property located on Florida’s Emerald Coast, has named Bob LaCasse as general manager. LaCasse brings 30 years of experience to his new role. He will oversee all aspects of the resort’s operations, focus on delivering the highest level of guest experience, drive revenue growth and maintain quality standards across all the property’s facilities.

Previously, he has held leadership roles at properties, including Tradewinds Resorts in St. Pete Beach, Cheeca Lodge & Spa in Islamorada and several others across the Palm Beaches and the Florida Keys.

DUA Miami, Autograph Collection has appointed Leslie Well as general manager. She brings in two decades of hospitality experience to her new role.

While most of her career has been in the Greater Miami area, in her most recent position, she was in charge of the launch of Moxy South Beach as general manager.
