THE HOXTON ARRIVES IN AUSTRALIA: The Hoxton, the collection of open-house hotels by Ennismore, is set to open its first location in Australia. Ennismore and property developer Alfasi Group have signed The Hoxton in Melbourne, as part of the Matchworks Precinct in Melbourne’s Cremorne suburb. Slated to open in 2027, the hotel will offer 198 rooms in the signature brand categories, including Cosy, Roomy and Biggy. Known for the open-door lobbies, the hotel will showcase local art through its design, retail and programming, with the interiors drawing inspiration from the building’s history and local community. The hotel will include three dining venues, a gym and hybrid event spaces centered around a communal pantry. Currently, The Hoxton operates 16 hotels, with recent openings in Berlin, Brussels, Amsterdam and Vienna. The brand is also set to open in Edinburgh and Florence. Ennismore recently announced the brand’s arrival in Scandinavia, with the signing of The Hoxton Oslo.
INTERCONTINENTAL TO RETURN TO SERBIA: InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, the luxury brand under IHG Hotels & Resorts, is returning to Serbia after 20 years in collaboration with Delta Holding. Scheduled to open by the end of 2026 in Belgrade, InterContinental Belgrade will feature 203 rooms, including a presidential suite with panoramic views of the city. Amenities include a pool, rooftop restaurant and bar, terrace, spa and wellness center, ballroom, lobby lounge, café, patisserie and meeting spaces. The hotel will be located in the Delta District, a new mixed-use development in Belgrade’s business and financial center. This marks IHG’s fourth property with Delta Holdings. Currently, IHG has three open properties in Serbia.
LE MÉRIDIEN TO OPEN IN FORT WORTH: Le Méridien will be opening its latest destination in Fort Worth, Texas on Thursday. The former Hotel Texas Annex building, which was closed for more than 20 years, was redeveloped to reopen as Le Méridien Fort Worth Downtown. The 14-story boutique hotel is a collaboration between Blueprint Hospitality and Remington Hospitality and will join Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio. This marks Le Méridien’s first property in Fort Worth. The hotel features 188 rooms and suites with a mid-century design, along with an all-day dining restaurant, a rooftop lounge, fitness center, pool, Le Méridien’s Hub and about 5,000 square feet of event space.
$190M CPACE FUNDING FOR VIRGIN HOTELS LAS VEGAS: Nuveen Green Capital has closed on the financing of $190 million in CPACE capital for Virgin Hotels Las Vegas. The project is the first CPACE financed deal in Clark County and the largest in Nevada, as well as the second largest CPACE financed deal in the U.S. to date, Nuveen said in a statement. Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, a Curio Collection by Hilton is a resort and casino in Paradise, Nev. and features 1,503 rooms, over 130,000 square feet of meeting and convention spaces, a spa, pools, 24-hour gaming, 12 restaurants and bars and a music venue. C-PACE financing was used to recapitalize recently completed improvements to the hotel.
