Fast growing North West travel tech company, digitaltravel.io has further strengthened its team with two key appointments.
Liam Hynes joins as head of project management, while Husnain Tahir takes on the role as a senior react native developer.
Hynes comes from Liverpool digital consultancy Mando Group where he was digital project manager for four years following, five years as a software project manager and analyst at Warrington’s MDS Global.
Tahir has more than six years’ experience of creating cross-platform mobile applications with Anthrophi Technologies in Manchester and Loosid App in New York.
Peter Whittle, co-founder and chief executive of digitaltravel.io, said: “As a young business, making the right appointments is crucial if we are to realise our early promise, especially as 59% of our customers are overseas meaning we have to follow the sun around the clock.
“Liam is a top operator and we are very fortunate that he was looking for a new challenge and that we were able to excite him with our company’s vision.
“He has a wealth of experience in project management with a strong technical background and is able to run multiple projects efficiently with excellent client side skills.
“Husnain is a computer scientist who has rapidly gained a reputation as a talented developer of engaging mobile experiences of high performance and quality. Both he and Liam are already proving themselves to be exceptional assets to digitaltravel.io.”
Hynes said: “This is an excellent move for me and I arrive at digitaltravel.io as it rides another wave of growth with many exciting projects on our books and many more in the pipeline.
“My work has very much been involved in delivering tailored services to improve customer experiences and as digitaltravel.io becomes a first choice for many travel businesses looking to have better engagement with their customers, I aim to bring my proven ability to realise clients’ visions quickly and successfully.”
Tahir said: “My passion is transforming ideas into cross platform excellence and I thrive in fast moving, agile and collaborative environments which, alongside the huge growth potential, is the real appeal in working for digitaltravel.io.
“There are already strong foundations, and this is rare opportunity to apply my experience and knowledge to help build the business further at an exciting time in its development.”
The news comes after the firm has picked up a raft of new clients which has seen its annual revenue reach £1m in three years.
The team is now at 14 members with two more recent appointments, Daniel Whittle having joined as support and quality assurance coordinator; and Aakash Haider as senior react native developer.
