KIMPTON’S FIRST ALL-INCLUSIVE RESORT: Playa Hotels & Resorts has opened reservations for Kimpton Tres Rios, its newest managed all-inclusive property from early 2025. Kimpton Tres Rios marks a first for the Kimpton brand, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts luxury and lifestyle portfolio, as the first all-inclusive resort for the boutique luxury brand. Located in Mexico’s Riviera Maya, the 355-room Kimpton Tres Rios has undergone a significant transformation since early 2023. The resort spans 326 acres and has three ecosystems — jungle, mangrove forests and coastal dunes — which constitute a nature park. The resort has rooms across over 20 categories, seven dining venues, five bars and lounges, four pools, a spa, wellness programs, a fitness center, kid’s activities and water sports. Currently, Kimpton has more than 75 hotels and over 100 restaurants, bars and lounges globally.

BRICTON ADDS TO MANAGEMENT PORTFOLIO: Bricton Group has assumed management of the Renaissance Chicago North Shore Hotel. Located in Northbrook, Ill., the 391-room hotel recently underwent renovations, which included upgrades to the rooms and suites and more than 20,000 square feet of event space. The hotel includes a restaurant and bar and a fitness center and is situated close to popular attractions. Based in Chicago, Bricton’s managed portfolio constitutes more than 2,500 rooms across the U.S.

BLUE DIAMOND RESORTS JOINS INTERVAL INTERNATIONAL: Interval International, the travel membership company, has added six luxury all-inclusive resorts within the Blue Diamond Resorts (BDR) portfolio to its global exchange network. Resorts include Royalton CHIC Cancun, Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun, Royalton Riviera Cancun, Royalton CHIC Punta Cana, Royalton Bavaro and Planet Hollywood Cancun. As part of this new partnership, Prime Travelers Club by BDR members at these six resorts will join Interval International and be able to access several travel and leisure benefits, including the ability to exchange vacation points for stays at resorts in Interval’s network of around 3,200 affiliated properties worldwide. Launched in 2011, BDR’s portfolio includes more than 60 properties totaling 18,000 rooms.

DIMENSION ADDS FAIRFIELD CHARLOTTE TO MANAGEMENT PORTFOLIO: Dimension Hospitality has been selected to manage Fairfield Inn and Suites – Charlotte/Arrowood. The 82-room hotel is in the final stages of planning a million-dollar extensive renovation, which will showcase the brand’s new interiors. All guestrooms will be updated with new furnishings, bedding, mattresses, carpets and window treatments. Bathrooms will get new wall coverings, lightings, mirrors and showers. Public space upgrades include a new breakfast area, lobby décor and a refreshed Corner Market. Exterior refreshes include the new swoop portico and a modern color palette.
