HYATT ADDS IN THE MALDIVES: Hyatt is set to expand its footprint in the Maldives and will be debuting its Hyatt Regency brand in the islands. An affiliate of Hyatt Hotels Corp. has entered into a management agreement with SingHaiyi for Hyatt Regency Samarafushi Maldives. Spanning 24 acres, the resort will have 130 beachfront, treetop and overwater villas, all with a private pool. The resort’s architecture is designed by Park + Associates. Amenities include a bar, beach club, multiple dining venues, kid’s club, marine and diving center, yoga deck, fitness center and a spa. Scheduled to open in 2027, the new all-villa resort will be Hyatt’s third hotel and SingHaiyi Hospitality’s second property in the Maldives.
SHERATON GRAND NASHVILLE COMPLETES RENOVATION: The Sheraton Grand Nashville Downtown has completed extensive renovations. The renovations mark the next chapter as part of Sheraton’s Hotels’ global transformation of its guest experience. Owned by Dreamscape Companies and Centerbridge Partners, the hotel is managed by Aimbridge Hospitality. One of the tallest buildings in the city, the hotel features 494 rooms and suites across 28 floors. Guest experiences will be transformed through a modernized brand vision and design as well as new programming and service signatures. The hotel’s meetings and event spaces have been upgraded, including the creation of new spaces, a redesign of all rooms, addition of new common spaces and enhanced dining outlets. The renovation was completed in a multi-phase approach over two years, with interior design company Looney & Associates leading the project’s design.
TROBBU BOUTIQUE COLLECTION’S INAUGURAL PROJECT: TROBBU Boutique Collection, the new boutique hotel collection, will be foraying into the hospitality industry and launch its first project in Tulum, Mexico. Expected to open in January 2025, TROBBU Tulum will feature 10 all-inclusive luxury villas. Each 2,745-square-foot villa will be spread across three levels and can accommodate up to eight persons and offer three bedrooms, an infinity pool, terrace with sun loungers, bar and grill area, living room area and a full kitchen. The property will have a spa, fitness center and a gym. TROBBU Boutique Collection is led by Managing Director Elías Barbosa.
REFURBISHED ROOMS AT JUMEIRAH DAR AL MASYAF: Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf, located in Dubai’s Madinat Jumeirah, has launched its reimagined collection of Arabian Houses. Sitting along waterways and gardens close to the resort’s private beach, the refurbished rooms feature a traditional ‘majlis’ (Arabic term for sitting room) and courtyard along with nine to 11 private rooms and suites. The homes have been designed by Sahar Al Yasser, the Dubai-based founder of La Bottega Interiors. Guests staying at the resort can access more than 50 restaurants and bars, a private beachfront, a spa, refurbished kid’s club and a club.
