Saudi Arabia has announced a significant policy change by eliminating licensing fees for hotels, hotel apartments, and residential resorts, effective September 4, 2024.

This decision, reported by the state news agency SPA, is part of the Tourism Investment Enabler Program, aimed at positioning the kingdom as a leading global tourism destination.

By removing these fees, Saudi Arabia is reducing operational costs for hospitality providers, thereby making luxury accommodations more accessible and affordable for travelers. This initiative supports Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which seeks to diversify the economy away from oil dependence and increase tourism’s contribution to GDP.

In response to this policy change, STAAH, a prominent channel manager, is expanding its reach in the Saudi market through strategic partnerships with key aggregators and major properties. These collaborations ensure efficient distribution of rates and inventory across online travel agencies, global distribution systems, and digital platforms.

With the new licensing structure, hotels and resorts can focus on enhancing guest experiences and refining marketing strategies to capitalize on the growing tourism sector. To leverage these opportunities, consider joining our ELITE partnership program for enhanced connectivity in the Saudi market.
