TIVOLI HOTELS ADDS IN PORTUGAL: Tivoli Hotels & Resorts, under Minor Hotels, is strengthening its foothold in Portugal with the upcoming opening of Tivoli Kopke Porto Gaia Hotel. Located on the south bank of the Douro River in Gaia and currently under development, the hotel is expected to open in 2025. The hotel will have 150 rooms, including 10 suites, two restaurants, three bars, two pools, a fitness center, six meeting rooms and 9,000 square meters of exterior gardens. The hotel will also feature a spa.  Situated on the hillside of Gaia in an ancient wine cellar that will be part of the hotel experience, the hotel will offer views over Porto, its traditional Cais da Ribeira and the Luís I Bridge. Tivoli Kopke Porto Gaia will be the brand’s ninth property in Portugal.

GRADUATE BY HILTON ARRIVES IN ALABAMA: Graduate by Hilton has arrived in Alabama with the opening of Graduate by Hilton Auburn. Located close to the Auburn University, the hotel spans close to 140,000 square feet and features 177 rooms across five floors. The hotel includes two signature dining venues, an indoor-outdoor rooftop bar and restaurant, a coffee shop, cocktail bar (created in collaboration with two-sport professional athlete and Auburn University alumni, Bo Jackson) and 10,000 square feet of meeting and event space. The hotel’s public spaces and rooms have subtle nods to the university and traditions of the town. A custom installation behind the reception desk showcases a football field with an eagle. The hotel will bring back the replica of the iconic “slush bus,” a repurposed school bus that transported students home from late nights at the War Eagle Supper Club and a ride that was considered a rite of passage for Auburn students.
