DALATA ACQUIRES RADISSON DUBLIN AIRPORT HOTEL: Dalata Hotel Group has acquired The Radisson Hotel, Dublin Airport for €83 million. Dalata announced it has exchanged contracts for the purchase of the entire issue share capital of CG Hotels Dublin Airport Ltd., which holds the long leasehold interest in the hotel. Once the deal closes in H1 2025, the hotel will be rebranded as a Clayton hotel. Dalata will be financing the total consideration through its existing cash and banking facilities. Spread over 4.4 acres at the Dublin Airport, the luxury hotel features 229 rooms, a bar, restaurant, on-site parking and meeting areas. The hotel had an EBITDA pre-franchise fees and management fees of €6.5 million in 2023, with consolidated gross assets of €83 million at December 2023.
NOVOTEL ADDS TO AFRICAN PORTFOLIO: Novotel has added to its African portfolio with the opening of the Novotel Nairobi Westlands, Kenya. Located in the Westlands area, the new hotel features 347 rooms and suites with the brand’s signature design concept by RF Studio. The hotel includes four dining concepts, a spa, fitness center, pool, along with 13 meeting and event spaces, including a ballroom that can accommodate more than 100 persons.
BOB W EXPANDS ACROSS NORDIC REGION: Bob W has expanded across all four Nordic capitals after securing its first hotel in Stockholm. The tech-powered hospitality provider has signed a lease for a seven-storey hotel in Sweden. The hotel is located in Stockholm’s city-center district of Norrmalm and will undergo renovations to reopen as the Bob W-branded property. Bob W has collaborated with Sweden-based Altira to convert the hotel into the design-led, tech-powered Bob W Stockholm City Centre, which is expected to open in 2025. With this hotel, Bob W will be present in 17 cities across 10 European countries. Stockholm-based Note Design Studio will be leading the hotel’s design. Bob W Stockholm City Centre will offer a mic of studios with kitchens and one-bedroom apartments.
SONESTA ADDS IN CANADA: Sonesta International Hotels Corp. has grown its presence in Canada with the opening of Canada’s Best Value Inn Kapuskasing in northeastern Ontario. The 40-key hotel is located in Kapuskasing, Ontario, about 500 miles north of Toronto. The hotel is located close to the Kapuskasing Riverside Park and Spruce Falls Trail. Each room includes a television with cable TV, microwave and mini-fridge. The hotel offers complimentary Wi-Fi, breakfast and parking space.
