This festive season, Sheraton Grand London Park Lane, a five-star hotel in the heart of Mayfair, invites guests of all ages to step into the heartwarming world of That Christmas with a specially curated afternoon tea in collaboration with Netflix. Launching on 21 November in the hotel’s iconic Art Deco Palm Court, this festive experience captures the heartwarming tales and festive magic of the film through an inspired menu of sweet treats, savoury bites, and seasonal beverages.
That Christmas Afternoon Tea in Palm Court
Premiering on Netflix on 4 December, That Christmas, based on the books by Richard Curtis (Love Actually, Notting Hill) tells a series of entwined holiday tales filled with humor, love, and delightful surprises. Sheraton Grand London Park Lane’s That Christmas afternoon tea brings the film’s beloved scenes and characters to life, creating an immersive culinary journey.
Guests can enjoy specially curated cakes, including the ‘Officially Nice’ Sour Cherry and Pistachio Macaron, Dasher’s Salted Caramel Mousse, Passionfruit Snowman Chestnut Cake and Gingerbread Opera cake. These are paired with festive sandwiches, including the Coronation Norfolk Turkey Sandwich and the Salmon Wellington, inspired by the fictional town of Wellington-on-Sea, and orange, cinnamon and cranberry scones.
A Festive Gathering for All Ages
That Christmas afternoon tea offers a joyous and interactive experience for guests of all ages. Children are invited to decorate their own snowman cookies at the table, making their visit even more memorable. For grown-ups seeking an extra touch of sparkle, a Champagne upgrade is available, along with Christmas cocktails like the gin-inspired Gingerbread Twist, the whiskey-based Gift, and the non-alcoholic Winterberry Bliss.
Festive Décor to Complete the Experience
From 27 November, the hotel itself will join the festive celebration as its facade lights up, casting a warm, cinematic glow over Mayfair. Guests can look forward to discovering festive décor both inside and out, with Christmas-inspired touches on the Smith & Whistle terrace, hinting at the magical world of That Christmas.
That Christmas Afternoon Tea is available daily in Palm Court from 21 November 2024, to 8 January 2025. Prices start at £65 per person, with Champagne upgrades available at £80 for Pommery Brut.
