Hilton’s luxury brand, Waldorf Astoria, is set to open its first hotel in Morocco with the upcoming launch of Waldorf Astoria Rabat-Salé in 2025. Located in the Mohammed VI Tower, one of Rabat’s most iconic landmarks, this hotel will occupy the top 18 floors of the tower, offering expansive views of Rabat, Salé, and the Atlantic Ocean.
The Mohammed VI Tower, standing at 250 meters tall, is part of the Bouregreg Valley Development and is the tallest structure in Morocco. The addition of Waldorf Astoria Rabat-Salé is expected to enhance Rabat’s position as a growing tourism destination.
“I am very pleased to associate the Waldorf Astoria brand with our emblematic Mohammed VI Tower, which the hotel will undoubtedly establish as one of the flagships of luxury hotels in Morocco, Africa, and internationally.” – Othman Benjelloun president of O CAPITAL GROUP.
The hotel will feature a total of 55 rooms, including 44 suites, spread across the 29th to the 46th floors. The Waldorf Astoria Rabat-Salé will also include a range of facilities such as a wellness center, a ballroom, a business lounge, and four restaurants, catering to both business and leisure travelers.
This project is part of Morocco’s broader tourism goals to attract millions of visitors by 2030. The development of the Waldorf Astoria Rabat-Salé aligns with the “Rabat City of Light, Moroccan Capital of Culture” initiative, which seeks to boost the city’s cultural and architectural presence on the international stage.
“We are delighted to announce Waldorf Astoria Rabat-Salé alongside our partners O TOWER. The hotel will form part of the iconic Mohammed VI Tower, a visionary mixed-use development that stands as a beacon of opportunity for Morocco and the entire African continent.” – Daniel Wakeling, Hilton’s Vice President of Development for Europe and Africa.
The Mohammed VI Tower is part of a larger mixed-use development that will include not only the Waldorf Astoria Rabat-Salé but also residential, retail, and leisure spaces. This multi-purpose design aims to contribute to the region’s economic and cultural growth while enhancing the city’s infrastructure.
