Its said to provide a solution without ‘technical overhauls’
Tour Amigo, connectivity provider for the travel sector has announced it is changing the way Destination Marketing Organisations (DMOs) and tourism boards promote its regions by introducing Micro Destination Platforms (MDPs).
The platform integrates with DMOs’ existing websites, providing a branded marketplace without the need for “complex redevelopment or technical overhauls”.
Once live, DMOs can promote unique, bookable experiences to global audiences while gaining valuable insights into regional trends.
Travellers gain direct access to authentic local experiences, while tour operators (and other operators) in its region can upload own offerings or connect its existing website and booking systems via an API.
“We’re making it easier than ever for DMOs to connect travelers with authentic regional experiences,” said Murray Decker, CEO of Tour Amigo.
“Our platform gives DMOs the tools to drive bookings, extend visitor stays, and boost traveler spending—all while supporting local operators and fostering sustainable tourism growth.”
Tour Amigo’s Micro Destination Platform also expands the reach of local operators by giving them the opportunity to connect to other OTAs, travel agents, and wholesalers.
It will also be able to generate data and analytics, empowering DMOs to refine their marketing strategies and enhance their region’s visibility on the global tourism stage.
