Accor has announced the signing of Sofitel Diamond Crown Hai Phong, a new luxury hotel being developed in partnership with DOJI Group. Slated to open in Hai Phong in 2026, the hotel will be located in the Diamond Crown Hai Phong complex, which includes a 45-story hotel tower and a 39-story residential tower.
Sofitel Diamond Crown Hai Phong will offer 231 hotel rooms, 180 serviced apartments and a range of luxury facilities including an infinity pool, golf simulator, gym, restaurants, spa and a conference center.
“We are thrilled to introduce Sofitel’s French elegance and hospitality to Hai Phong, a city poised for growth and international recognition. Sofitel’s mission is to create cultural bridges and offer a refined, locally inspired luxury experience,” said Maud Bailly, CEO of Sofitel, Sofitel Legend, MGallery and Emblems. “Already a trusted name in Vietnam with our iconic hotels in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Sofitel Diamond Crown Hai Phong represents an exciting new chapter. This project is not just about luxury accommodation — it’s about connecting travelers to the vibrant essence of Hai Phong while elevating its status as a dynamic destination on the global stage.”
The luxury hotel will feature Diagrid architecture that has earned the Diamond Crown complex recognition for its design and sustainability.
The collaboration with DOJI Group will strengthen Sofitel’s presence in northern Vietnam, helping the brand strengthen its position as a key player in Southeast Asia’s luxury hotel market, said Xavier Grange, chief development officer for Sofitel.
Hai Phong, Vietnam’s third-largest city, is an important port and industrial hub. The city’s tourism sector is growing, supported by its proximity to natural attractions such as Ha Long Bay and the Cat Ba Archipelago. The opening of Sofitel Diamond Crown Hai Phong aims to position the city as a luxury travel destination.
The partnership with Accor marks a pivotal step in DOJI Group’s strategy to develop a luxury hospitality business, DOJI Group said in a release.
“With Accor’s expertise, we are confident that Sofitel Diamond Crown Hai Phong will not only stand out as an architectural icon but will also provide luxury accommodation experiences that blend international standards with local culture, thereby contributing positively to the tourism and hospitality sector in Hai Phong,” said Le Thi Hien, deputy general director of DOJI Group.
Sofitel Diamond Crown Hai Phong will join Sofitel’s existing properties in Vietnam, including Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi and Sofitel Saigon Plaza.
