Hilton announced today the signing of four new hotels in Lyon, as part of franchise agreements with Arteloge. These openings mark the arrival of the Spark by Hilton brand in France, a new premium economy segment brand, as well as the expansion of DoubleTree by Hilton, which is already well established in Lyon.
A Strategic Development in Lyon
Spark by Hilton Lyon Ouest and Spark by Hilton Lyon Park Saône are expected to open at the end of 2025, followed by Spark by Hilton Lyon Eurexpo planned for the summer of 2026. DoubleTree by Hilton Lyon Plage is expected to open in 2028. Together, these four hotels will total 655 rooms.

Spark by Hilton: A New Model in the French Market
The Spark by Hilton brand positions itself in the premium economy segment with a functional, modern, and accessible design, aimed at clients seeking affordable, quality hotels.
The Spark by Hilton Lyon Ouest and Spark by Hilton Lyon Park Saône will offer 102 and 100 rooms respectively, as well as inviting public spaces. Spark by Hilton Lyon Eurexpo will be located near the Eurexpo exhibition center, airports, and major highways.
The rooms will feature simple and practical furniture, a bright bathroom with Zero% products, and amenities designed to meet the needs of guests. The hotels will also offer services such as a Hydration Cart with free drinks, a 24-hour retail market, and collaborative workspaces.
Scheduled to open in 2028 after renovation, DoubleTree by Hilton Lyon Plage will offer 118 rooms and 56 extended-stay accommodations. The hotel will feature a restaurant, a bar, and 12 fully equipped conference rooms. Conveniently located near transport links and the banks of the Saône River, the hotel will also benefit from proximity to a wellness center. Guests will be welcomed with the signature DoubleTree by Hilton cookie.
