Technology integration allows for evidence to be collated

Click&Flat, a tourist rental agency in Barcelona, has announced a new partnership with property insights platform, Minut, to reduce noise complaints and improve relations with local communities around its properties. 

With anti-tourist sentiment rife across the Catalan capital, Click&Flat’s collaboration with Minut is timely.

The collaboration works by Minut’s privacy-safe sensors monitouring noise levels and instantly alerting property managers when they exceed respectful thresholds, enabling swift interventions of Click&Flat to deal with disturbances before they escalate.

Minut’s devices do not record or store personal guest data, but do integrate with Airbnb and property management software Icnea.

The reporting can also assist if there were a situation to arise where accusations against guests were falsely made.

Germán Minguell, CEO at Click&Flat, said: “We are fully committed to improving our service across all areas, including ensuring our neighbours are happy. 

“A peaceful coexistence between our guests and the wider community is one of our priorities. 

“Minut’s noise detection technology helps us to prevent and avoid disturbances, and, with our 24/7 team, we can respond promptly to any issues it alerts us to.”

Leo López, sales manager of Minut, added: “Privacy-safe noise monitouring is an essential tool helping property managers to ensure that their short-term rentals are integrated into their local communities, ensuring that neighbours and guests alike are happy.”
