London Marriott Hotel County Hall, one of London’s most historic hotels, opened 35 new river view rooms and suites, on 1 January 2025.  Set in the former Greater London Council building on London’s South Bank, these new additions enhance the hotel’s celebrated British experience, bringing guests closer to the city’s most beloved landmarks, with iconic views of Big Ben, The Houses of Parliament, and the London Eye.

Luxury Balcony Suites with Breathtaking Views

With unmatched views of London’s most iconic landmarks, the luxurious Big Ben Balcony Suite offers a flexible layout that includes one or two interconnecting bedrooms, a spacious lounge area, and a dining space for up to eight guests. Large private balconies provide sweeping views of Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, creating an unforgettable setting.

The South Bank Balcony Suite extends this offering further, with options for two or three interconnecting bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a separate lounge, all overlooking the striking London Eye and River Thames. Designed for multi-generational trips or celebratory gatherings, these suites combine elegance with versatility, offering guests the ultimate London experience.

Intimate Stays in Balcony and Loft Rooms

For those seeking a more intimate experience, the Balcony Rooms offer a personal escape with unmatched 180-degree perspectives of the River Thames, while Loft Rooms present a unique layout with a staircase leading to a private viewing platform.

Quintessential British Design and Heritage

Rooted in the building’s 1922 origins as London’s former City Hall, the rooms and suites capture the essence of great British style whilst celebrating the hotel’s iconic heritage with a contemporary twist. Bespoke features include pocket-watch print curtains, bowler hat artwork and wallpaper which also doubles as a map of London. Marble bathrooms, luxury bedding and spacious layouts complete the refined yet playful atmosphere, offering guests an immersive experience that celebrates the hotel’s iconic legacy.

Govert Deketh, General Manager of London Marriott Hotel County Hall, says:

“From our Big Ben and South Bank Balcony Suites to the Loft Rooms with their elevated Thames views, every space offers a stand-out London experience with unparalleled views of the capital. We look forward to welcoming guests to experience London from this extraordinary vantage point in 2025 and beyond.”

Enhanced Club Facilities

In addition to the new accommodations, the hotel’s Club facilities reopened on 1 January 2025 with extensive upgrades, accessible for both hotel guests and members of the public with the purchase of a day pass or membership. The new gym, open 24/7, features the latest premium equipment from the global-leading wellness brand Technogym, including a state-of-the-art Therabody station complete with elite sports massage devices, while the 25-metre indoor swimming pool, flooded with natural daylight, provides a serene setting for relaxation and exercise in the heart of the city open daily from 6am-9pm.

The Big Ben Balcony and South Bank Balcony Suites at London Marriott Hotel County Hall are priced from £900 per night, including breakfast and M Club access; The Balcony Rooms are priced from £460 per night, including breakfast; The Loft Rooms are priced from £300 per night, including breakfast
