Radisson Hotel Group closed 2024 with a record-breaking expansion, adding nearly 40,000 rooms to its global portfolio and strengthening its position in key markets across the world.

Radisson Blu maintained its position as the leading upper upscale brand in Europe for the 13th consecutive year, Radisson said in a release, adding that the group is now the leading upscale resort segment in EMEA.

“Despite global geopolitical shifts in 2024, we had a successful year thanks to our relentless efforts to serve our two key customers: the guest and the owner,” said Elie Younes, executive vice president and global chief development officer at Radisson Hotel Group. “In 2025, we will continue creating more possibilities and opportunities for all our stakeholders through building on existing segments and partnerships as well as seeking new business avenues.”

Expansion and Notable Openings

Since its launch in 2018, Radisson Collection grew to nearly 70 hotels in 2024. The luxury brand’s expansion included key signings in Paris, Madrid and Riyadh, as well as openings in Rome and Srinagar, India. The upcoming Radisson Collection hotel in Paris will be housed in a historic Haussmann building near the Louvre, while Madrid’s location will be in the iconic Generali building on the Canalejas district.

Radisson Hotel Group also strengthened its partnership with PPHE Hotel Group, launching the art’otel brand in London’s Hoxton district in May 2024. The company plans to open an art’otel in Rome this year, marking the brand’s debut in Italy.

Radisson Blu, the company’s flagship upscale brand, saw significant growth with more than 20 additions, reflecting robust momentum in the EMEA and APAC regions. The brand’s expansion included openings in Casablanca’s financial district and Conakry, Guinea — marking Radisson’s entry into the West African market.

Radisson RED expanded into several new regions, including Vietnam, Germany, New Zealand, Laos and Nigeria. Highlights included the launch of Radisson RED Galway, the brand’s first hotel in Ireland and Radisson RED Phuket Patong Beach in Thailand, which features its own in-house RED radio station.

Launched in 2020, Radisson Individuals grew its footprint in APAC and EMEA, adding around 15 properties, including in India, Oman, Sardinia, Turkey, France and the U.K. Notably, the new Radisson Individuals hotel in Bolton, U.K., is located within the Bolton Wanderers Football Club stadium complex.

At the end of 2024, the company rebranded prizeotel as Prize by Radisson. The midscale lifestyle brand announced new properties in Poland and Germany.

Radisson now has more than 150 properties in operation or under development within the upscale resort sector, further solidifying its leadership in the segment. Looking ahead to 2025, the group plans to continue its expansion strategy, focusing on strategic markets and new business opportunities. Overall, Radisson has over 1,460 hotels in operation and under development across 100 countries.
