The renewed partnership showcases Amadeus’ strong progress in its move to the Cloud and its ambition to deliver innovative products to the travel industry with Microsoft AI solutions
Amadeus has announced the renewal of its global strategic partnership with Microsoft which leverages Cloud & AI technologies to drive innovation and explore new products for the travel industry.
Since the initial partnership was announced in 2021, this new milestone marks continued collaboration between Amadeus and Microsoft. The two companies will further advance on Amadeus’ move to the Cloud and accelerate the delivery of innovative travel products.
The strong partnership between Amadeus and Microsoft is multifaceted and has already achieved significant milestones:
On the Cloud journey itself
As of today, Amadeus has migrated more than 50% of its applications to the public Cloud, and has been at the forefront of innovation testing and adoption with Microsoft.
The travel technology giant will continue to work with Microsoft on driving new solutions to market with AI to enhance collaboration, drive operational efficiencies, and create unique experiences.
The two companies have collaborated on multiple projects across diverse customer segments including corporate travel, airports and hotels.
For corporate hotels, Cytric Easy was developed. It is an online booking and expense management tool embedded in Microsoft Teams, will be further enhanced with the power of Generative AI to create a new engaging conversational experience.
In airport technology, Amadeus Virtual Airport Operations Centre was introduced. It enables a broad range of stakeholders like airlines, airports, border control, and service providers to co-operate in a fully digitalised airport operations center.
The hotels subsector saw Amadeus Advisor, where Amadeus harnesses the power of Generative AI through its partnership with Microsoft to simplify a hotelier’s ability to search and understand business intelligence data, using chatbot functionality to support confident, data-driven decisions.
Amadeus has also been an early adopter of Microsoft 365 Copilot, with 10,000 licenses deployed across the company.
With an adoption rate of 94%, there has been a self-reported average time saved per person of more than an hour and a half per week.
Sylvain Roy, CTO of Amadeus, said: “We are pleased to write a new chapter in our strong partnership with Microsoft.

I look forward to achieving even more in the coming years.”
