Global GDS and travel technology specialist, Travelport has announced a long-term technology partnership with Berge & Meer Touristik, a roundtrip and cruise combintion tour operator in the German-speaking market.

As part of the deal, Berge & Meer Touristik has integrated Travelport’s air cache solution to enable customers to bundle flights with their travel offers so that travellers can easily book dynamic trip packages that are tailored to their needs.

The tour operator is using Travelport’s air cache solution to generate precalculated air content to combine flights with their travel offers at the point of booking.

Berge & Meer Touristik’s launch of dynamic trip packages allows its clients to shop and book custom trip packages that are tailored to individual travellers’ unique needs and preferences.

As a result of the collaboration, Berge & Meer Touristik is also expanding its use of Travelport’s technology to enhance its group booking capabilities.

“We selected Travelport as our exclusive air cache solution to power our new dynamic trip packages because of their deep understanding of our needs, and ability to deliver real-time, accurate flight itineraries with a user-friendly interface,” said Marcel Mayer, chief executive officer at Berge & Meer.
