Regent Hotels & Resorts is widening its luxury portfolio and has added a resort in Indonesia. Located in Bali’s southwestern coast, Regent Bali Canggu marks the first Regent-branded property to open in Indonesia since the brand was acquired by IHG Hotels & Resorts in 2018.
The beachfront resort features 150 suites and villas, many offering sea or garden views and direct access to the lagoon. Room options range from the entry-level 818-square-feet studio suites to the 3,519-square-feet one bedroom beachfront villa with its own pool.
The resort also offers five dining venues, a Regent Spa, nine swimming pools and a Regent Club.
“What a great opportunity it is for us to reintroduce Regent to Indonesia,” said Manish Puri, general manager of Regent Bali Canggu. “With over 50 years of heritage in innovation, extraordinary views, landmark destinations and exceptional service, the Regent brand has returned to reimagine luxury here in Canggu.”

Design
Regent Bali Canggu’s architecture, designed by WATG, integrates Balinese cultural elements with modern luxury. Timber and andesite stone are key materials used to complement the island’s natural environment.
Interior design firm Hirsch Bedner Associates has incorporated batik and Balinese imagery into the resort’s aesthetic, using a curated color palette inspired by the island’s landscapes. Landscape architect John Pettigrew designed the gardens with local plants and reclaimed materials.
Wellness and Exclusive Amenities
The Regent Spa & Wellness, developed with Raison d’Etre, will be the first-ever Regent-branded spa when it opens later this year. It will feature seven treatment rooms, a sauna and a plunge pool.
The Health Club will include a yoga studio and a gym. The resort’s nine pools, private cabanas and oceanfront location provide additional relaxation opportunities.
Regent Bali Canggu’s Regent Experience Agent ensures personalized service, from pre-arrival arrangements to in-stay experiences. Guests staying in select suites and villas also have access to the Regent Club, offering an à la carte breakfast, afternoon tea and complimentary champagne during evening cocktails.
A dedicated Regent Kids area, set to open this year, will feature indoor and outdoor play spaces.
Regent Bali Canggu joins other properties in the brand’s growing portfolio, including Regent Santa Monica Beach, Regent Hong Kong, Carlton Cannes, Regent Shanghai on the Bund and Regent Phu Quoc. The brand is aiming to open 12 properties in the next five years, with upcoming openings in Jeddah and Kuala Lumpur.
