SV Hotel continues to pursue its growth strategy by taking over the operations of six Marriott International hotels in Germany starting in April 2025. This partnership with Vastint includes four Moxy hotels and two Residence Inn by Marriott, located in Berlin, Dortmund, Dresden, and Essen.

With this acquisition, SV Hotel solidifies its dominant position as the operator of the Moxy and Residence Inn brands in Germany. The group’s portfolio grows from 23 to 29 hotels, marking a strategic turning point in its development in the German market.

Expansion into new markets

Nico Giovanoli, CEO of SV Hotel Germany, is pleased with this new milestone in the group’s growth: “This acquisition is a testament to our expertise in managing the Moxy and Residence Inn brands, and we are excited to welcome the existing teams into our family, sharing our values of respect and collaboration.”

This move is in line with SV Hotel’s development strategy, with a targeted expansion into cities where the group previously had limited presence. “These hotels are located in strategic areas, further strengthening our position in Germany and deepening our partnership with Marriott,” explains Marco Meier, CEO of the group. He also highlights the pride in being selected by Vastint, a renowned real estate player, to manage these properties.

The hotels in question are modern and recent, well-suited to meet customer needs. They complement SV Hotel’s offering in Germany, with a logical and consistent integration into key regions such as North Rhine-Westphalia and Dresden.

Upcoming projects

SV Hotel’s growth momentum continues with several upcoming projects. In May, the group will open its second Stay KooooK hotel in Munich, followed by the first Moxy Hotel in Zurich in December. Other projects are also planned for 2026, demonstrating the group’s ambition in the European market.

A collaborative integration

SV Hotel places particular emphasis on integrating local teams into its company culture. Nico Giovanoli explains: “We made sure that our values of commitment and respect align with those of Vastint. We believe that employees are the key to success, and this approach will ensure a smooth and successful transition for everyone.”
