Get Google has been a game-changer for hoteliers looking to boost their direct bookings and online visibility. Following our recent Get Google webinar, we’ve compiled some of the most frequently asked questions from hoteliers and provided clear answers to help you maximize this powerful tool.

1. Will my property appear at the top of Google after signing up for Get Google from STAAH?

With STAAH, your hotel will be listed in the top position within the free booking links section on Google. This enhances visibility and increases direct booking opportunities.

2. Where can we find the Get Google buttons in the STAAH Extranet?

If you have signed up for STAAH SwiftBook, simply navigate to the Booking Engine menu tab, and you’ll see the “Get Google” option there. If you need further assistance, feel free to contact sales@staah.com.

3. Does STAAH pull the lowest rates from our system?

Yes! STAAH pulls and displays the lowest rates available in your system, ensuring competitive pricing and a strong presence in Google’s free booking links.

4. Who should I contact if there are issues with syncing rates or availability?

For any technical issues related to STAAH SwiftBook, including mapping, connection errors, or syncing problems, please reach out to your local STAAH support team. They will check the rates being pulled into SwiftBook and ensure they are displayed correctly.

5. Are there any additional fees apart from the $50/month for the Google listing?

No, the $50/month fee is fixed. There are no additional commissions, making it a cost-effective solution for hoteliers.

6. Can Get Google push our direct website rate lower than OTAs and hide the lowest rate from OTAs?

STAAH pushes the lowest rate set in SwiftBook, and this rate will be displayed in the top-ranking position of the Get Google free listing. However, rates are not hidden from OTAs.

7. If our star rating on Google is incorrect, how can we change it?

Google gathers star rating data from multiple sources, including third-party partners, direct research, and feedback from hoteliers. It also uses machine learning to evaluate hotel attributes like price, location, and amenities. If your rating is incorrect, it may be due to these factors. Hotels that do not show a class rating have not yet been evaluated by Google.

8. Are there any challenges or restrictions when integrating STAAH with Google Hotel?

If you’re using STAAH SwiftBook, the integration is seamless. However, your Google My Business profile must be active and fully updated to ensure accurate information appears on Google Hotel listings.

9. If a property is using STAAH but not SwiftBook, can they still benefit from Get Google?

To fully leverage Get Google, we strongly recommend signing up for STAAH SwiftBook, as it provides a streamlined and effective tool for improving direct bookings.

10. Can STAAH support ‘Last Room Available’ visibility on Google Meta Search?

STAAH displays the lowest rate based on SwiftBook settings, not room allotment. However, SwiftBook is designed to label ‘last room available’ when bookers are redirected to your booking engine, ensuring transparency for potential guests.

By leveraging Get Google with STAAH SwiftBook, hoteliers can increase direct bookings, improve online visibility, and offer competitive pricing. If you have further questions, reach out to our STAAH support team or email sales@staah.com.
