The hotel chain easyHotel continues its expansion in Spain with a loan of 29.2 million euros granted by CaixaBank. This financing will facilitate the opening of four new low-carbon hotels in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, and Alicante.
A development supported by strategic financing
This loan marks a significant step in easyHotel’s European expansion, focusing on affordable and environmentally-friendly accommodations. Thanks to this investment, the brand plans to open a second hotel in Madrid and Barcelona by the end of 2025, while Valencia will welcome its first easyHotel within the same period. Alicante is set to inaugurate its first hotel in 2026. easyHotel is also present in Málaga.
Madrid Alcalá: A new location
Among these new addresses, the easyHotel Madrid Alcalá, scheduled to open on April 29, 2025, illustrates this expansion. Located in the San Blas district, east of Madrid, this hotel will offer rooms starting at 75 € per night. It will provide double, twin, and triple rooms equipped with four-star quality mattresses, blackout curtains, an air conditioning system, and enhanced sound insulation. The property will also offer 31 parking spaces, including four with electric vehicle charging stations.
The hotel will benefit from access to Madrid’s main attractions as well as business hubs such as MADBIT and the IFEMA Madrid conference center.

Strengthening presence in Spain
With these new openings, easyHotel continues its growth in the Spanish market. The brand targets customers looking for affordable stays with good value for money and strategic locations. By adopting a low-carbon hotel model, easyHotel aligns with a more sustainable approach, in tune with the expectations of today’s travelers.
These successive openings are part of easyHotel’s expansion strategy, continuing to extend its network in Spain and Europe while staying true to its commitment to accessible and environmentally-conscious hospitality.
“Madrid is a city full of delicious food, vibrant culture, and so much to explore. For me and the other easyHotel team members, this project is particularly important, as it’s our first hotel in the city, and we’re now able to introduce the Spanish capital to more people than ever before. As a member of the easy® family, we’re committed to making travel more affordable, and with more easyHotels coming soon in Barcelona, Valencia, and Alicante, exploring Spain on a budget has never been easier.” – Karim Malak, CEO of easyHotel
