Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants announces the opening of Kimpton Los Monteros Marbella, a five-star hotel on the Costa del Sol. The project marks the transformation of the former Los Monteros, an iconic establishment that first opened in 1962, following an extensive renovation.
Located just 500 meters from the Mediterranean Sea, the hotel features 195 rooms, including 60 suites, some with terraces and sea views. The renovation was entrusted to the design studio El Equipo Creativo, while the rooms were designed by Cristina Carulla Studio. The architecture blends historic elements with contemporary design, incorporating natural materials and patterns inspired by Andalusian craftsmanship.
The hotel offers several dining options, led by Michelin-starred chef José Carlos García. Culinary highlights include Jara, specializing in Mediterranean cuisine, and Escondido Rooftop, which showcases Mexican flavors. Azul Lounge Bar and Costa Club Pool Bar complete the offering with a selection of cocktails and light dishes.
In terms of amenities, Kimpton Los Monteros Marbella features a Maison CODAGE spa, a tennis and padel club, and privileged access to the region’s golf courses. The property also includes 5,000 square meters of outdoor space and 700 square meters of meeting facilities, including a reception hall with a capacity of 250 guests. An exclusive beach club and a panoramic rooftop are also available for private events.
